Heading Into the Home Stretch!
As we head into the final two weeks of the Richmond Hill Mayoral By-election, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the amazing volunteers and supporters, who have worked so hard to help us spread the word about why I believe I am the best candidate to become the next Mayor of Richmond Hill. Your efforts inspire me, and the campaign team, to work just that much harder to connect with as many residents as possible to talk about my experience, my vision for Richmond Hill, and the seven key elements that underpin my platform. Please keep checking my website for updates, and to share some of the previous e-blasts that provide more information on key elements of my platform.
I also wanted to take a moment to thank the many, many people who have sent in notes supporting my candidacy. These notes of support come from residents I have connected with over a local issue, one of the many community events I have been involved with, or, in some cases, individuals I have worked with on a variety of committees and community groups. These notes have also come from former Council or municipal committee colleagues, including the recently retired Mayor, Dave Barrow, two retired Regional Councillors (Brenda Hogg and Vito Spatafora), and two retired Ward Councillors (Arnie Warner and Dave Bishop). To have all these individuals recognize both my past contribution to making Richmond Hill a better place to live, work and play, and, express their confidence that I am the best candidate to lead Richmond Hill forward, is both extremely gratifying and humbling. I pledge to continue to work hard to make Richmond Hill even better! You can find these amazing notes of support on my website .
Two Weeks to Go!
Over the next two weeks, the team and I will be doing everything we can to connect with as many residents as possible, answer questions, and do whatever we can to spread the word about my candidacy, my experience, my vision for Richmond Hill, and my platform. I will be participating in two All-Candidate Events. On Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., the Richmond Hill Council Accountability Group (‘CAG’) is hosting a virtual All-Candidates Event. It will be a Zoom webinar and you can watch it here https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85250285199.
The second virtual All-Candidate Event is hosted by the Richmond Hill Board of Trade (‘RHBoT’) and will take place on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Further information can be found here https://www.rhbot.ca/events-list RHBoT will post the Zoom link closer to the date.
HOPE TO ‘SEE’ YOU AT ONE OR BOTH EVENTS!
