I have known Mayor West since his days prior to serving on Council and then running for Mayor. He has always shown through his words and actions, that he cares a great deal for the City of Richmond Hill, his constituents, and both residents and visitors to our community.

He cares deeply about the well-being of persons resident or simply working or active in his city. He and his office are quick to respond to community issues and needs, in order to make our city a welcoming environment. Any issues I have brought to his attention have been dealt with as expeditiously as possible, while taking a cautious approach to ensure that affected individuals are treated with the utmost care and consideration.  I commend him on his thoughtfulness and careful consideration of all aspects of his decisions, approach and eventual results.  Generally, I like quick response and results, whereas Mayor West takes a more methodical approach considering all aspects of the issue and reaching solutions that are ‘palatable’ to all sides with little adverse affects.  Kudos to him.

It is my pleasure to endorse Mayor West for re-election as Mayor for the City of Richmond Hill.
